Some trends come and go while others have major staying power. Wedding trends are no different. We’ve seen details like mason jars and mustache decor hanging on for their life over the past few years, but it’s time to leave those in the past. With the old, comes the new…here are a few trends to consider for your 2015 wedding.
One highlight in attending a wedding is the food…you’d be lying if you said you didn’t agree. One way to break from tradition and totally surprise your guests is to bring in a local, late night food truck. Guests will be able to satisfy their cravings after a night of drinking and dancing and will certainly go home talking about it. Tons of food trucks are popping up in cities across the country, so you may even be able to hire a variety of trucks which would also keep the crowd controlled. Some couples are even offering the trucks in lieu of a traditional sit-down meal allowing guests to pick and choose exactly what they like. Either way, hosting food trucks at your wedding is sure to be a talking point among your guests for years to come.
When it comes to special occasions, nothing is off limits to glitter, just don’t overdo it! Like every trend, glitter is best used in moderation, so choose a few key elements to incorporate sparkle. Do a little bit all over by using it in small detail like your invitations and programs, bouquet ties and on your nails. Or go big with sequin tablecloths or bridesmaids dresses with extra subtle details elsewhere. Glitter looks luxurious as long as you use it correctly!
This trend has some serious staying power. Not only does everyone prefer different style dresses, but they also wear colors differently. By offering your girls a color scheme and variety of styles for the gowns they’re wearing (and probably paying for) you will lighten the bridesmaids dress burden tenfold. The benefit is also aesthetically appealing; everyone will look more comfortable in pictures and this adds a relaxed vibe instead of very traditional.
9 times out of 10 your wedding flowers are going to be breathtaking. But where bouquets were once very structured, we’re now seeing a lot of them with greenery mixed in, creating a naturally beautiful spray. This trend isn’t only applied to the bouquets but also displays and centerpieces as well. Not only is this a great look for your wedding, but it’s also cost effective as greens are typically much cheaper than flowers.
We are loving separate pieces because it allows for brides to customize their look just a little bit more. Every bride wants to feel her best on her big day and choosing both a top and a bottom allows brides to wear exactly what they want. It’s also super fashion forward. Bridal separates allow for crop tops, button downs and even pants, meaning this bridal style is anything but traditional.
